Beanie cap

A beanie hat is a must-have item in any child's wardrobe. With our DIY kits, you will sew the simplest and fastest beanie in the world in just a few minutes. Let's get started!

What we need:

- a sewing kit from dresówka.pl

- tailor's pencil/chalk/soap

- scissors

- pins or sewing clips

- overlock or multi-purpose sewing machine

- jersey/knit fabric needle

This beanie was sewn using an overlock, but you can easily sew it on a standard household sewing machine as well. 

Fold the fabric so that the wrong side is facing out. Everything you measure and draw should be done starting from the folded edge (which will form one side of the beanie).

When choosing the size, keep in mind that the pattern is measured flat and jersey knit is a very stretchy fabric. We recommend subtracting a few centimeters from the head circumference measurement.

Trace the pattern onto the fabric and cut it out.

Once cut out, pin the edges together and sew all the way around, making sure to leave a small opening in one section near the start of the curve so you can turn the hat right-side out.

After pulling the entire piece right-side out through the opening, simply tuck one half into the other—and just like that, you have the easiest DIY beanie.

Finally, close the opening by hand using a blind stitch, and it's ready to wear! :D
