Drożniki are guardians of the avenues of trees growing along the roads. These creatures tend to historic trees. These alleys are the bridge between the real world and the world of magic hidden behind the mist. The role of the Drożniki is to protect these arteries, especially to block the way for people filled with anger, bitterness and hatred. They block the path for the evil and the proud. Those who, despite their bad character traits, will want to force their way onto the bridges, will be devoured by the Beasts. Those deemed worthy must return before nightfall, or they must remain forever in the zone of magic, where souls can soar into the aether and bodies take the shape of shadowy forms drained of emotion, wandering on the border of worlds.
Drożnik comes from the "Jelenia Góra Bestiary", which was created out of a passion for photography, drawing and writing. Tomasz Szyrwiel supplemented his photographs with creatures hidden under the fog, and spices them up with stories that arise in the mind during photographic journeys, explaining their origin and influence on the Jelenia Góra Valley.
