Halunki are small beasts that can be found under larger stones lying along country roads, in burrows, holes and hollows. They feed on fantasies and dreams. Halunki form small communities that produce their broths. They divide the work into particular groups and stages. One group sets off into the unknown in search of raw materials, the second is responsible for selecting and portioning, cooking and improving recipes, and the third is responsible for extracting fantasies and dreams. They put potions on people's dinners, then squeeze through ears to heads to catch the most beautiful and weird dreams. They go home and people wake up only with the impression that they have dreamed something.

Halunki come from the "Jelenia Góra Bestiary", which was created out of a passion for photography, drawing and writing. Tomasz Szyrwiel supplemented his photographs with creatures hidden under the fog, and spices them up with stories that arise in the mind during photographic journeys, explaining their origin and influence on the Jelenia Góra Valley.
